WelcomeGabriella Zoë Sikorski is a Montreal-based visual artist, with a Fine Arts Degree from Concordia University, majoring in Painting and Drawing. Her career and professional training began at the University of Alberta, in her home-town of Edmonton. Her early works were exhibited at the ‘Painting in Italy’ exhibition at the FAB Gallery following a 2006 watercolor course in Vico Equense, Italy. Her work caught the attention of local media, and got her an interview for a TV news segment on Global. Her move to Montreal in 2007 inspired Gabriella to immerse herself in the thriving local arts scene – she began volunteering for cultural events, attending industry conferences (locally and internationally) and as a result, her work became more experimental and contemplative. Gabriella continues to evolve her artistic practice through on-going experimentation, boundary-pushing, creation and professional development. In spring 2009 she completed a 5-week drawing course in Aquapendente, Italy, and went on to visit the Venice Biennale and Basel Art Expo in Switzerland. She has sold many works throughout her career, including several private commissions, and had a painting published as cover art in the 2009 Issue 1: Le Fatigue Magazine. She is a member of ELAN (English Language Art Network) and is currently researching international schools in pursuit of her Masters of Fine Art.
